How swing analysis works
Swing analysis is the core feature of the Agassi App. Upload a video of your shot and receive AI-powered feedback on your technique.
The Analysis Process
When you submit a swing video, the AI model breaks your shot down into its key phases — preparation, loading, acceleration, contact point, and follow-through — and assesses your mechanics across the swing as a whole. Feedback is surfaced as a clear, high-level summary rather than granular per-phase scores, to keep it actionable.
Supported Shot Types
The app currently supports forehand, backhand, and serve analysis. Additional shot types may be added in future updates.
How to Get the Best Results
- Film from a stable position at roughly a 45° angle to your hitting side
- Ensure good lighting — outdoor daylight works best
- Keep your full body and racket in frame throughout the entire shot
- To get a clear analysis on your hitzone, film from a landscape orientation to track the ball
- Trim the video to just the relevant shot before uploading (between 5 and 30 seconds)
Accuracy & Limitations
The AI model has been trained on a wide range of player styles and technique data. Results are most reliable when video quality is high and filming guidelines are followed. If feedback seems inconsistent with your actual mechanics, try re-uploading with improved positioning. Your feedback on results helps us continue improving the model.
